What we do with what you tell us.
Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plainer terms.

What we collect
When you describe a case, we collect the description you write, the practice area and jurisdiction inferred from it, and, only if you request a callback, the contact details you choose to give.
When you use the site we collect basic technical data: pages visited, approximate region, browser type, and referring site. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
Your case description is used to match you with lawyers who practise in the relevant area and jurisdiction. It is shared only with the lawyers matched to your case, and only so they can decide whether to respond.
Contact details are released to a specific lawyer only when you request a callback from that lawyer. No lawyer receives your phone number or email before that point.
What we never do
We do not sell your information to lead brokers, marketers, or data aggregators. This is not a policy we intend to change. Our revenue comes from lawyer subscriptions, not from selling enquiries.
We do not publish your case description, and we do not use it to train models that are shared outside this service.
Security and confidentiality
Case descriptions are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to matched lawyers and to the small number of staff who operate the matching service.
Once you engage a lawyer through this platform, your communications with that lawyer are subject to lawyer–client privilege. That privilege is between you and them; it is not ours to waive.
How long we keep it
Unmatched or abandoned case descriptions are deleted after 12 months. Matched cases are retained while the matter is active and for 6 years afterwards, which reflects the limitation periods that apply to most civil claims.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner. If a lawyer has already been engaged, their own record-keeping obligations apply independently of ours.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you may also object to certain processing and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
To exercise any of these, email hello@wakilimfukoni.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about data we hold, go to hello@wakilimfukoni.com, or by post to Delta Corner, Ring Road Westlands, Nairobi.
Wakilimfukoni is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Lawyers found through this service are independent practitioners responsible for their own services and their own handling of your information.
